“ Nice local brewery with and old fashioned square bar , nice dining area with a view of the brewing vats and a nice rooftop area for dining in the warmer weather. They usually have 6 to 8 different beers available. A pretty extensive food menu is also available. The food is good pub grub. Nice atmosphere in the bar with friendly servers. ”

“ We discovered JJ Bitting Brewing Co by chance and we are so glad we did! As usual, we sat in the bar side of the business which is cozy and with great service! We passed on the extensive dining area which looks comfortable with great decor and ambiance. This restaurant/brewery even has outdoor seating and rooftop patio for those occasions that might merit it. They had small selection of home made brews, my husband went for the CBD and I had the Avenel Amber; both very good choices! We eat light, so we ordered and split 1/2 rack of baby back ribs dinner which came with a salad and fries. The meal was more than enough for both of us! It was both delish and satisfying! We liked this place so much that we have returned a few times, besides the excellent beer selections we found that their prime rib and salmon dishes are great! We also enjoyed their happy hour, daily from 3 to 7pm at $4 beer! Great food, beer, and fun as well as excellent service make JJ Bitting a winner! ”

“ J. J. Bitting has a lot of character. Historic building next to the train tracks, near the old Woodbridge station. Nice selection of home brews. Very extensive menu, great food and appetizers. The beer is outstanding. We love all the appetizers, great salads, and tots. Outdoor and rooftop seating is available in the Summer. Nice bar area. Worth a visit. We sometimes come for just a pitcher and some appetizers. Great place for kids, they have a model train running, and a trolley car. Raspberry wheat brew was pretty tasty. Growlers available. This one of our 1st outdoor/rooftop dinning experience since the pandemic started. Very well run. Clean and very safe. Food was very good and the service was better! ”

“ My fraternity has been here three times on MLK Day to celebrate our continuing brotherhood. JJ Bitting supplied a very nice buffet meal in the upstairs room above the bar. Also provided were two waitstaff who took our drink orders and delivered them from the bar - saving us the need to go up and down the stairs. Food was plentiful and they even included a small tray of dessert items. The beer selection, made on site, was not bad at all. ”

“ This was a small microbrewery in an old style building. There was a spacious bar with plenty of seats. There were large kettles right in the middle of the main dining room, which was cool to see. The service was well appreciated and the menu had a wide range of options to choose from with great prices. They start the meal off with chips and salsa. The chips were okay, a little stale. The salsa was decent just not spicy. The garlic pesto chicken flatbread ($8.95) was ordered as a starter, which was a special. It was made up of mozzarella cheese, red onions, pesto chicken and roasted red peppers with their homemade balsamic dressing. The flatbread was overloaded of all the toppings. It was a pleasant mix of flavors, but the flatbread did not seem to be cooked appropriately. It was too hard without much color on the bottom. For my meal, I had a special called the Goober burger which had creamy peanut butter, American cheese, bacon, grilled jalapenos and a 1/2 pound burger. This came with coleslaw, which was pleasant. I also had a side of waffle fries, which were real good. They were crispy and went well with their homemade cayenne hot sauce. I never had peanut butter on a burger before so I wanted to give it a try. There was not an overload of peanut butter, but it was not bad. It just made the burger that much heavier to me. As a whole, it was an appetizing burger. Will I go back? Probably. ”
